BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Host.net, a leading provider of colocation, network transport and transit services, announced today that it has closed on its previously announced acquisition of Nashville, TN based WV Fiber, a global IP transit and MPLS transport company on July 17th 2008.

Davis also announced that Host.net Co-Founder & CIO Randy Epstein has been named to lead the WV Fiber Division as its President and will re-join the Host.net Board of Directors. Further, Thomas E. Turner, former Chairman of WV Fiber has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Host.net. Peter Marcum, WV Fiber's former CEO will become Chief Strategy Officer of WV Fiber.
Randy Epstein added, "We are already realizing the many synergies between the two organizations and have started to expand the network. We will be opening the Dallas and Toronto markets this quarter, and have a very large expansion planned for Europe as well."
